I wish you a wonderful new year. ;)
Yeh, I'm that old. ;)
They've been used in sci-fi / thrillers in the 40s, 50s, and 60s.
Several companies have been making theremins over the last 15 to 20 years commersially. Bob Moog made some short run productions as early as the 60s when he was in college.
Theremins are electronic, and played without being touched.
I wish you all the best with your theremin, and keyboard.

good vid
I am wanting very much to purchase a Theremin and begin my journey! Would you tell me your thoughts on Moog Etherwave® Theremin, Standard.
Would this be good for a beginner? Will you ever be in the Los Angeles area to perform.
Thank you for your inspiration.
Allthough the Moog theremins are fine for starters, I prefer the B3 Deluxe as a student theremin, mainly because it's relatively innexpensive, and does not have any extra features to distract the student.
Once I start touring, I certainly do plan on going through LA, and other major cities.
